Parental Consent For Photography, Media and Websites

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.  Your consent is required during the registration process.

Photography

During the season, there are occasions when photographs of your child may be taken by a volunteer associated with the Comets of Charles County Track & Field Club.  Your authorization to use a photo or photos of your child in our publications (brochures, newsletters, etc.) is requested.  Names may appear in these publications.

Media Coverage

From time to time the media may cover our events. 

Whether or not you have concerns about your child participating in media coverage (being photographed, videotaped, interviewed) it is important that we know your wishes.  Media coverage by local newspapers may include your child’s name (if so, the reporter typically will obtain your consent.)

Website & Social Media

The Comets of Charles County Track & Field website (www.cometsofcharlescounty.org), YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages contain information on our program.  These tools are used to help the community and participants learn more about our program and activities.  Anyone with Internet access is able to view these pages.  Participant photos may be posted on our website to showcase events and activities.  If included, identification would be done by first and last name.  Photos of large groups, or action photos where participants names cannot be identified, may be posted without parental permission.  Video recording of track and field competitions are used as training tools for the coaching staff and the athletes, and posted on our team YouTube site.
