Athletic Spikes

Here are a few places to purchase athletic spikes (shoes) for your children. The local stores will have a limited selection available so purchase them early or place your order online.

If you are new to track and field, the coaching staff recommends purchasing the middle distance spikes. These spikes offer more heel support and may offer more comfort for those new to wearing track spikes. They are geared toward athletes running longer distance races.

Sprint spikes force the athlete to run on the ball of the foot as opposed to the heel of the foot and are geared towards athletes running the shorter distance races, but may not be as comfortable as middle distance spikes. The choice is yours. Spike length should be no more than 1/4" in length.
